CHAMBER ROOTS: Return of the Wayfaring Stranger is a globetrotting sonic romp. Strings and voices weave a compelling tapestry of fiery fiddle tunes, forlorn love ballads, and chilling accounts of wayward woe.
Virtuosity, sensitive musicianship, and compelling original ideas combine in a dynamic process of genre-bending musical exploration—from the hills and hollers of Appalachia, to continental oddities by turns surly and sultry, to the playful and plaintive strains of Celtic and Scandinavian folk, to newly-composed works by members of the ensemble.
Scott Moore, a Kentucky native in his second year as Artist-in-Residence at the Annisquam Village Church, is joined by a versatile cast of capable colleagues: Erica Pisaturo (violin), and the Clements Brothers, George (guitar) and Charles (double bass).
